Books to Read

Here are a few books that I have read that I think were wonderful books and I would like to share with you! Hope you enjoy ♡ –

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series  – this wonderful, mythological series is well plotted, and wonderfully planned. This series is full of monsters, heroes, and gods. Expect the unexpected in these awesome books, you never know what’s going to happen next. Journey through the word of the half-bloods brought to us by Rick Riordon. I suggest this series for ages 12 and up, (I do not suggest the trilogy, Heroes of Olympus, until the age of 13)

The Mortal Instruments Series – the Mortal Instruments series is a wonderful series, full of thrill seeking adventures with love and romance. In a world full of angels and demons, these books will have you hooked! Vampires, Faeries, Werewolves, Warlocks, and more. All the story’s are true. I suggest the full series for ages 15 and up, (this age does not includes the trilogy series, The Infernal Devices). However, I suggest the first three books for ages 13+ (the series was originally just the first three, so it was well.)

Genre – Young-Adult fiction / fantasy

Ages – 13 + ( for books 1-3 ) 15 + ( for full series )

My Rating – ★★★¾

Divergent Series– the divergent series is a wonderful combination of books, the story of the young, brave Tris and the charming Four will have you head-over-heels! Showing that one person can change the world, and save lives, this story is very inspirational and will have you on the edge of your seat! Full of love and adventure these books will suit almost everyone who picks it up! I suggest these books for ages 12 and up.

The Harry Potter Series – They say books can take you away to new worlds, well the Harry Potter series does just that. Welcoming you to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! A world full of magic and wizards, you will be addicted! Magic is good, magic is also evil, it all depends on how you use it. You will be questioning everything you see outside of your own room. “Is that real?” you may ask. Your explanations may just be one word….”Magic.” You will be in love with this series! I recommend ages 13 and up.

Genre – Fantasy, Magic Realism

The Fault In Our Stars – Love is  a wonderful thing. You will absolutely fall on your face in love with the sweet love story of two young
, Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters. Both having health issues, they show that love can not be separated by disabilities. As sweet as their story is, with love is also pain. And this book, does have many sad parts to it. I suggest this book to anyone over the age of 14, and for anyone who loves romance.

Genre – Young-Adult fiction / Romance

Ages – 14+

Matched Series – In the perfect world of the future, there are no mistakes or issues, right? Wrong. Cassia’s day was supposed to be the best day of her life, and none of the less, it was. It was so much more than she could imagine. She was happy…and in love! But when she finds out there has been a slight “misunderstanding,” with something that took a very important role in her life. Was it really a mistake? Or was it just fate? Cassia will be tried. She will make decisions. Is this “perfect,” world really that perfect? Read to find out. I suggest this book for ages 12 and up.

Genre – Romance, Utopian, Young-Adult fiction

The Maze Runner – When Thomas wakes up with no memories, except his own name, everything is turned upside down. He has been put into a remote place, surrounded by teenage guys in gear. They have been stuck into a giant maze. The maze walls move every night, making the maze practically impossible for over two years. After Thomas arrives, everything begins to change, making everyone suspicious that Thomas is working with The Creators (the makers of the maze). As this new world is introduced to Thomas he faces trials of the other guys, different creatures, and the maze. This book is full of thrill, adventure, and mystery. I suggest this book for ages 12 and up.

Genre – Science Fiction, Dystopia, Young Adult

Ages – 12+

My Rating – ★★★

The Scorch Trials – Book two in “The Maze Runner” series. The gladers escaped the maze, but when they find out what is in the new world, they are not so sure getting out of the maze was the best idea. When given a new task, they are tested and trialed. Sent into a new terrain and land with problems left and right, will Thomas be able to make it? Not only this time is it a task, it is a race, with very strong motives. I suggest this book for ages 12 and up.

Ages – 12+
